OM-SE is founded and run by Jacob and Jenny Huurinainen. Our mission is to make high-performing skincare that is easy to use, versatile, and actually makes your skin look and feel amazing and naturally balanced.
In Swedish, OM-SE means “to care” and that is the essence of our philosophy.
It all started in 2016, when we had a small baby at home, and I (Jenny) had reached my limit with my unbalanced skin. I had struggled with hormonal acne, dryness, and reactive skin my whole adult life, and during my quest for the holy grail, I've tried it all, and to be honest, too much.
Inspired by the FODMAP methodology and fed up with the many ingredients in conventional skincare that served purposes other than truly benefiting the skin, I began creating natural, active skincare formulas. I excluded anything that didn’t genuinely serve the skin and combined powerful, result-driven, plant-based ingredients to create a routine that was effective and easy to use.
For the first time in my adult life, I had balanced, radiant skin and didn’t feel the need to wear makeup to cover it. Jacob also started using the products and got a glow that drew attention at work, and the business idea for an unisex skincare brand sparked.
Hundreds of formula versions later, and years of product refinement based on feedback from dedicated test users and formulation experts, resulted in four unique, 100% organic products. Our skincare range is produced in an ISO-certified facility in northern Sweden with nature around the corner.
